Male Double Eyelid Removal Surgery: A Case Study

A detailed look at a male double eyelid removal procedure, focusing on achieving a natural, single-eyelid look while maintaining eye size.

Male Double Eyelid Removal Surgery: A Case Study

Today, we are looking at a case study of what is known as

Male Double Eyelid Removal Surgery—specifically, the removal of existing double eyelid creases.

is the focus of this post.

Removing double eyelids for men...

Of course, while many men dislike having deep, prominent double eyelids, having a subtle ‘inner double eyelid’ can be quite charming.

However, since the current trend favors large eyes with almost no visible crease, those who already have natural double eyelids often find them to be a source of significant stress.

Let’s examine the progress of a patient who came in for a follow-up today.

Looking at this patient, the eyes appear slightly sleepy, and there are lines that are ambiguous—somewhere between a double eyelid and a wrinkle.

In most cases like this, these lines are closer to skin folds or wrinkles than a defined double eyelid.

This is the appearance after surgery, where a very small crease was created and tucked inward to create a hidden fold.

If you look closely at the photo below, a faint fine line is visible. Do you see the mole? Near that mole, a small wrinkle can be seen.

During the two-month follow-up, the patient asked if the double eyelid was coming back. However, because the skin had been folded in that spot for a long time, a minor residual wrinkle can remain. If the original line had been very close to the new, lower crease, it wouldn’t be visible, but because the original line was positioned very high, a trace remains.

Due to skeletal asymmetry, the patient’s right eye is significantly larger. Consequently, the right eyebrow is also positioned higher.

Nevertheless, we can make them appear as symmetrical as possible.

Subscribers reading this post might not have noticed the asymmetry at first, but likely spotted it once I pointed it out.

I have posted about similar cases in the past.
