Men’s Ptosis Correction Swelling: 1-Week and 1-Month Progress Videos
Explore the recovery process of men's ptosis correction through photos and videos, showing swelling reduction from 1 week to 1 month post-surgery.

When men undergo ptosis correction, the most common question they ask is about swelling.
Patients often ask the director how the swelling subsides so quickly. Therefore, I would like to show the progress at 1 week, 1 month, and beyond through photos and videos.

Before surgery

1 week after surgery..
There is some bruising, and the stitch marks from the epicanthoplasty are still visible.

Another male patient, before surgery.

1 week after surgery.. The double eyelid line is slightly visible due to swelling.

1 month after surgery.. The double eyelid has tucked inward and much of the swelling has subsided, though a slight amount remains..
I haven’t seen the progress after that.. Most patients come for follow-ups until about 1 month, but even if I ask them to come back for a 6-month check-up, they often don’t show up.
Sigh.
What can I do if they don’t come? T_T

Before surgery.

1 week after surgery. Due to slight swelling after ‘monolid’ ptosis correction, the impression might feel a bit strong.

2 months after surgery. The swelling is completely gone, and the line has tucked inside, resulting in a monolid look where the double eyelid is not visible.
A patient about 6 months post-surgery.. The white line is a sunscreen mark, but it looks like a wrinkle.
Ultimately, the average photo at one month post-surgery looks like the following.
