I recently delivered a lecture on the incisional method for male monolid ptosis correction.

I previously covered the topic of male monolid ptosis correction back in 2017. At that time, the procedure was not widely known, but it seems to have gained significant recognition following that presentation.

Subsequently, my paper was published in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) journal in 2018, where I shared this knowledge so that any plastic surgeon could replicate the technique.

Occasionally, patients visit for consultations due to side effects resulting from monolid ptosis correction performed elsewhere.

While it is fortunate when the correction is successful, there are many cases where serious side effects occur because too much skin was aggressively removed from the start.

I believe that if the procedure is performed according to the methods outlined in my paper, such side effects are unlikely to occur.

The most critical points to watch out for are serious side effects such as the inability to close the eyes due to excessive skin excision, or the eyelashes turning inward.

It is better to create a very small line and tuck it inward. It is advisable to avoid excessive skin removal that leads to lagophthalmos (inability to close eyes) or severe scarring.
