This patient had a double eyelid on only one side before surgery.
Rather than simply removing it, a new line is set lower, and the upper line is released.
It is not enough to just release it; adhesions must be thoroughly removed, and specific maneuvers must be performed to prevent the double eyelid from reforming in that spot.
