How to Correct Asymmetrical Eyes and Uneven Eye Shapes
Learn how to correct asymmetrical eyes through ptosis correction and skin excision. Discover why facial asymmetry affects eye balance and see real recovery results.

In this post, I will discuss how to correct uneven eyes when eye asymmetry is present.
Usually, eye asymmetry can exist on its own, but in many cases, it is accompanied by general facial asymmetry.

For example, in this patient’s case, the right eyebrow is higher while the left eyebrow is lower.
Additionally, the left eye is relatively smaller than the right eye.
In such cases, it is extremely difficult to achieve perfect symmetry.
This is because even with procedures like ptosis correction, the position of the eyebrows will not automatically become level.
For this patient, we performed a slightly stronger ptosis correction on the left side compared to the right and excised more skin on the left side.
By doing so, we can achieve a much more balanced appearance.

This is a photo taken 7 days after the surgery. While the eyebrow positions remain unchanged, the eye sizes are now almost identical.
This patient is a male who underwent ‘monolid ptosis correction’.

After one month, most of the swelling has subsided. The eye sizes are nearly the same, although the eyebrow positions still differ.
Let’s look at another case.

In this case as well, you can see that the patient’s left eye is smaller than the right eye.
You can also observe that the lower eyelid indicated by the arrow is higher compared to the right eye.
Even in these situations, it is possible to make the eyes look as similar as possible through surgical intervention.
