Receding Chin Correction and Chin Surgery
Learn about various methods for correcting a receding chin, including fillers, fat grafting, and why chin implants are a highly recommended, efficient solution.

Receding Chin Correction and Chin Surgery
A receding chin can often make a person look overly young or as if their facial structure is underdeveloped. Sometimes, it can even make the face appear more fleshy than it actually is.

This is why people opt for receding chin correction, also known as chin surgery.
There are several ways to correct this. One method is using fillers; typically, at least 2cc (based on 1cc units) is required to see a visible effect. Another option is fat grafting. Personally, I believe a small amount of fat grafting is fine, but adding too much can look unnatural. This is because the chin is fundamentally made of bone, not soft tissue.
While methods like chin advancement surgery (genioplasty) involving bone cutting or the use of implants exist, I personally recommend a simple chin implant procedure.
The surgery takes about 15 minutes, and a major advantage is that if you are ever dissatisfied with the results, the implant can be easily removed at any time.

The incision is made inside the lower lip (intraoral incision).

The result will look like this. There is minimal swelling and the recovery period is very fast.
