Undoing Sausage Double Eyelids (Non-incisional Suture Removal)
A case study on undoing high, ‘sausage-like’ double eyelids through non-incisional suture removal within one week of the initial surgery.

This patient visited our clinic less than a week after undergoing a buried suture method (natural adhesion method) at another hospital.
While one might typically wait a bit longer for swelling to subside, the patient felt the lines were excessively high. They returned to the original hospital but were refused a revision, leaving them emotionally distressed before seeking help here.

Even with the eyes closed, the lines appear quite high.
The patient mentioned they originally had low double eyelids and asked if a full restoration was possible. Since it had only been a short time since the initial surgery, I determined it was feasible and proceeded with the procedure.
Naturally, performing the procedure shortly after the initial surgery is ideal because it prevents further adhesions from forming and leads to better results.

The sutures are carefully removed to ensure there is absolutely no tissue damage.

The procedure was a success, with all sutures cleanly removed. It took approximately 10 minutes.
As mentioned in previous posts, this can be difficult for those without experience, but for an experienced surgeon, it is possible to remove only the sutures without damaging the surrounding tissue.
