How to Enlarge Eyes Without Ptosis Correction (feat. Monolid Ptosis Correction for Men?)

Learn how reducing upper eyelid volume in East Asians can increase vertical eye height and enlarge the eyes without traditional ptosis correction surgery.

How to Enlarge Eyes Without Ptosis Correction (feat. Monolid Ptosis Correction for Men?)

This is the content I will be presenting at this spring’s academic conference.

I plan to present a method for enlarging the eyes without performing ptosis correction.

The title is ‘Reducing the volume of upper eyelids in East Asians increases vertical palpebral height.’

In other words, it means that by reducing the thick, heavy areas of the upper eyelids in East Asians, the eyes can become larger.

This is a common patient case we see. He is a male patient with thick upper eyelids and relatively small eyes.

In such cases, we remove a certain amount of tissue from these thick areas.

Looking at the schematic diagram, volume is removed from the middle section.

By removing fatty tissue and muscle layers, we eliminate as much of the bulkiness as possible.

However, since tissue near the skin surface cannot be entirely removed, a slight sense of thickness may remain.

This is the appearance after the surgery.

You can see that the eyes have significantly enlarged. This was achieved by reducing volume rather than performing the common ptosis correction method of advancing the eye-opening muscles.

This is a way to enlarge the eyes while minimizing the potential side effects associated with ptosis correction.

This surgical method is applicable to a limited group of people; it can be selectively performed on those who have significant eyelid fullness that hinders their ability to open their eyes fully.
