Double-line method? Lowering thick eyelids? Correcting sausage eyelids? Eyelid revision surgery—there are many ways to describe it.
This is the content of a lecture I was invited to give at Dongguk University Hospital on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
The actual title was ‘Revisional Blepharoplasty’, and it covered the topic of eyelid revision surgery.
The main topics addressed issues related to the shape, depth, and height of eyelids, specifically focusing on the ‘sausage’ appearance.
When the eyelids look bulging like a sausage, it appears unnatural.
This can happen if the patient has thick skin, if the design is high but the fixation is weak, or if severe scarring leads to a deep eyelid fold.
Here is another case.
This is a case of weak fixation.
Simply re-fixing the fold properly makes the eyes look clearer and the eyelid fold more defined. The thickness of the eyelid can, of course, be adjusted. If you want it higher, you can remove more skin or raise the line.

After identifying the existing line A and creating a new line B, the skin C between them is excised, and the previous adhesions are released.
