Ultimately, both are High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) devices, so the mechanism behind the Shurink effect and the Doublo effect is the same. The differences lie in the depth the ultrasound reaches and the level of convenience for the practitioner.

The advantage of the Shurink we purchased this time is that the shot speed is fast and continuous shots are possible. This shortens the procedure time, making it more comfortable for both the patient and the practitioner.

Lifting is achieved by concentrating ultrasound at a depth of 1.5 to 4.5 mm beneath the skin to generate heat. To be more specific, it uses a mechanism where ultrasound is focused on the tissue after calculating the speed at which the waves reflect back. The resulting thermal energy from rapid vibrations either breaks down cells or causes them to shrink.
It essentially causes a type of thermal damage; you can think of it like the principle of a squid shrinking when it is grilled.

Generally, it seems that at least 300 to 400 shots are needed to see an effect, while exceeding 800 shots does not seem necessary.
