Chief of Plastic Surgery at Jecheon Seoul Hospital 2008–2010

I spent three years in Jecheon working at the Jecheon Seoul Hospital Department of Plastic Surgery.

Since Jecheon is a regional area, I encountered a wide variety of surgical cases. While there were many trauma patients, there were also many cosmetic patients.

The primary procedures I performed were eye surgery, nose surgery, and breast surgery. I also performed many filler and Botox treatments.

Jecheon Seoul Hospital View

The view of the hospital is as follows. While Myongji Hospital exists now, ten years ago, this was the largest hospital in the local community.

There are no other plastic surgery clinics in Jecheon. While there are general practitioners who list plastic surgery as a treatment subject, there were no other board-certified specialists. At that time, I was the only board-certified plastic surgeon in the area; if I was away, patients had to travel all the way to Wonju.

Consequently, residents of Jecheon had to come to me or travel to Wonju for cosmetic surgery.

There are a few restaurants in Jecheon that I really loved… Jang-kalguksu… Boryeong Sikdang… they were excellent.

Jecheon Local Area

That was the place I used to go for hangover soup after having a drink late at night.

Dongwon Garden was another favorite of mine; I was on friendly terms with the owner back then. It was located downtown, but I can’t seem to find it on Naver Maps now.

Since Jecheon is a small community, I would often run into my patients while walking through downtown areas like Myeong-dong. I even bought sesame oil from a lady who ran a local press after I performed her surgery.

When I went to E-Mart, the staff there would recognize me and say hello. In a local community like that, everyone eventually knows everyone else.
