Indonesian Medical Conference - Natural Upper Blepharoplasty with Minimal Swelling, Lower Blepharoplasty with Love-Band Preservation
It feels like I haven’t updated this blog in quite a while.
Looking back at 2021, it was such an eventful year that time seemed to fly by in a blur.
I was originally invited to the Indonesian conference back in 2020. It was scheduled to take place in Bandung, Indonesia, but was postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19. Then, I was suddenly contacted around April to prepare as the event was back on.
The invitation email arrived as follows:

There was some pressure since the presentation and discussions were all in English, but I made my debut.

This was the first slide of my presentation.

I presented on both upper and lower blepharoplasty.
For the upper eyelid, the content focused on surgical techniques to achieve the most natural look possible, as shown above.
For the lower eyelid, I reviewed the anatomical structures and discussed surgeries aimed at achieving a more youthful appearance.

I presented a method that focuses on preserving the ‘love-band’ (aegyo-sal) as much as possible.
In fact, the love-band became more defined after the lower blepharoplasty.

This is how they introduced my professional background.

The person wearing the hijab is also a doctor.

That is me wearing the headphones. Haha.
The person looking serious below me is the chairperson.

A certificate of appreciation for the presentation.
