Galaxy Fold Activation Failure Review
A frustrating experience attempting to activate a new Galaxy Fold, plagued by technical errors and poor customer service from the carrier.

I received my Galaxy Fold around 3:00 PM on September 30, 2019.
My excitement after receiving it was short-lived. I attempted to activate it, following the instructions that said I just needed to swap the SIM card.
However, no matter how many times I inserted the SIM, it wouldn’t work.

I kept getting an error message saying, ‘This is an unactivated terminal,’ and it told me to contact 02-1599-0011.
I called the customer center, and they told me they would get it activated even if it was late, so I waited... but in the end, it didn’t happen.
A day passed...
Today, October 1, 2019, it still isn’t working.
I have made eight calls to the customer center...
Still nothing.
The reason: Apparently, there is a ‘Data Sharing’ service on my current line that needs to be canceled first.
They only told me this around 5:00 PM...
When I requested an immediate cancellation, they said this had to be handled by the specific department at 114 (carrier support).
I contacted 114. They told me they would call me back and asked me to hang up.
I went into the T world app myself and canceled every single additional service I could find.
Still hearing nothing, I called 1525 again.
They told me the Data Sharing service was still not canceled.
With no further updates, I called 114 again to request the cancellation, only to be told that their business hours ended at 4:30 PM.
Are they kidding me?
Then 114 called me back just to repeat that their work ended at 4:30 PM...
They kept saying they were sorry, so I told them the consultants had nothing to be sorry for, but that I was just going to activate it with KT instead.
Ugh, so annoying...
Then they taunted me by saying a device bought from SKT cannot be activated on KT... Wow.


See if I ever buy anything from T World again.
